Management Team James Bean President and CEO of Preco Electronics, Inc., Jim brings more than 30 years of operational experience with Fortune 500 companies to the management team. He has been providing outstanding Jim joined National Semiconductor Corporation’s international manufacturing group in 1973, with responsibility for manufacturing and test operations in their Singapore facility, before serving as Managing Director of their Hong Kong office. During his tenure, National grew from $73 million to over $1 billion in annual revenues. From 1980 to 1985, Jim headed Apple Computer’s domestic manufacturing operation in Dallas, Texas. He subsequently assumed responsibility at Apple’s corporate headquarters in Cupertino, California, as Director of Worldwide Manufacturing, which included sites in California, Texas, Ireland, and Singapore. Apple, a $100 million corporation in 1980, grew to more than $1 billion in revenues during Jim’s five-year tenure. In 1985, Jim left Apple to join Sun Microsystems as Vice President of Distribution and Manufacturing Operations worldwide. He worked as part of the executive team that took the company public and participated in Sun’s rapid growth and domination of their marketplace. Jim has served on the board of directors for several companies including Extended Systems, Inc., a mobile solutions provider to over two-thirds of Global 2000 organizations, and SCP Global Technologies, Inc., an industry leader in surface preparation equipment for the semiconductor industry. He currently sits on the board of directors and the audit committee for electronics manufacturing service provider KeyTronic Corporation, the National Advisory Board of the NIST Hollings Manufacturing Extension Partnership in Washington, D.C., and the advisory board for Boise State University’s TechHelp, a manufacturing consulting organization for Idaho businesses. Jim holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, New Mexico.
Dale Hessing Dale joined Preco Electronics, Inc. in 1991, and currently serves as Chief Technical Officer. In this role, he is responsibile for research and development of new blind-spot awareness technology.
Before joining Preco, Dale spent more than three years with Boeing Electronics Company in Washington, focused on avionics design and development in support of multiple new aircraft platforms. In 1988 Dale returned to his native Idaho and joined Computrol, where he designed and introduced a variety of innovative electronics products for the sport fishing industry. During his tenure at Preco, Dale has been highly successful in several key leadership roles. He has overseen manufacturing support and customer development, and helped increase Preco’s client base worldwide during a challenging economic time. Dale has served as Director of Engineering and the Vice President of Engineering, with responsibility for all engineering design activities at Preco’s Boise facility.
Peter A. Evans Peter joined Preco Electronics, Inc. in October, 2011 as Vice President of Sales and Marketing. His successful history in domestic and international business management will be instrumental in reaching our corporate goals. Before joining Preco, Peter was the Vice President NAFTA for Benecke Kaliko, a Continental AG company. He guided all sales, marketing, design, and R&D activities in NAFTA, from Benecke-Kaliko’s offices in Auburn Hills, MI, as well as Benecke-Kaliko’s newest manufacturing operations in San Luis Potosi, Mexico, thus expanding the company’s global footprint. Peter has held various roles in key Tier 1 automotive suppliers, including Valeo Sylvania and TRW, where he was responsible for the sales and marketing efforts for the North American market. He has vast international experience in Europe as well. Evans also has worked in non-automotive at Wilbert Plastic Services where he managed the Agriculture, Consumer, and Construction Business. He has valuable experience in manufacturing and design, giving him a broad spectrum of experience overall in product development. Evans received his bachelor and master degrees from Central Michigan University and has participated in many executive leadership programs at such prestigious institutions as Duke University, Ashridge University (UK), and the Center for Creative Leadership in Greensboro, NC
John brings more than 20 years of management experience in the high tech and transportation industries to Preco Electronics, Inc. as Vice President of Supply Chain Management. His successful As both a certified Lead Auditor and the designated management representative for Preco’s ISO-9001 Quality Management System, John has been instrumental in helping Preco attain continuous third-party certification to the ISO standard since 1995. John also holds Green Belt status in the Six Sigma quality improvement methodology. He has worked closely with Boise State University’s TechHelp to successfully implement a lean manufacturing program at Preco, achieving significant process improvements and ongoing cost reductions. John’s previous experience includes ten years of managing various production and logistics operations at UPS, giving him a solid foundation in efficiency, utilization, and cost management. John earned a BBA degree in computer information systems from BSU, where he continues to participate in university programs such as Lessons from Alumni and Design Thinking initiatives. John also serves as an adjunct professor at BSU, teaching operations and supply chain management classes. John, an Idaho native, and his wife are the proud parents of four teenage boys. He enjoys camping, skiing, and traveling with his family.
Erin serves as our Human Resources Manager. Since joining Preco Electronics, Inc. in 1999, she has handled all aspects of HR, including benefits, retirement packages, workers’ compensation Key projects have included researching and overseeing overseas employee relocation, as well as transitioning personnel involved in two corporate sales. An Idaho native, Erin received a bachelor’s degree in business management from Boise State University with an emphasis in human resource management. Her solid HR background includes successfully supporting 350 employees, nine years of Professional Human Resources (PHR) certification, and service on the local HRATV Board and the SHRM State of Idaho Council board. Erin is currently the Vice President of Membership on the Southern Idaho Compensation and Benefits (SICBA) Board, where she helps educate her peers about the intricacies of compensation and benefits issues that HR professionals face each day.
Morgan Poyser Information Systems Manager Morgan Poyser oversees all IT and telecommunications solutions at Preco Electronics, Inc. With 15 years in network, server, and telecommunications Morgan joined Preco’s team in 2005 after progressive experience in IT for several large firms, including Citigroup, Home Federal Bank, and BMC West. He successfully managed IT systems ranging from seven locations with 300 nodes to 85 locations with more than 2,500 nodes. Along with his strong IT background, Morgan has successfully implemented cost-saving and time-saving solutions at Preco, including a seamless conversion to a highly efficient business management platform which delivered a more efficient, cost-effective ERP system. He has overseen multi-site infrastructure upgrades, negotiated cost-saving WAN contracts, and created effective planned-redundancy network applications. Morgan’s strengths lie in designing practical information systems that deliver the essential functions while keeping to budget requirements. His troubleshooting skills pinpoint problem areas, saving Preco money and personnel time on a daily basis, and keep the technology and communications side of the business running smoothly. Morgan earned his bachelor’s degree at Idaho State University. |
