High Resolution PreView™ Blind Spot Safety System- Rugged, Compact, Powerful

When you get behind the wheel of a commercial grade vehicle, a serious accident can be just one mishap away as drivers contend with safety obstacles every hour of the workday.  That's why Preco Electronics offers a next generation collision avoidance devise called the High Resolution PreView™ blind spot safety system. 

Like the Standard and Heavy Duty versions that came before it, High Resolution PreView™ can perform effectively in any climate or environment.  Because it has encapsulated circuitry and uses pulsed radar to detect objects, High Resolution PreView™ can work in rain, snow, fog, dirt and mud.  In fact, the system is designed to operate in the temperatures from +185ºF (+85ºC) to -40ºF (-40ºC).

The High Resolution PreView™ is a commercial-grade safety solution that has been designed with smaller size and heightened sensitivity in mind.  This unit measure 4.13 inches high by 4.95 inches wide by 1.75 inches deep.  And it can detect objects that are 1 to 20 feet away from the sensor.

Object Detection Range and Applications

The High Resolution PreView™ system comes pre-configured and available in 10-, 15- and 20- foot range configurations.  The diagram shows typical zones of detection for all three range options.  Choose the coverage area that best fits your vehicle and job site.
 
Using both visual and audible indicators, the PreView™ display unit alerts drivers to objects in five increments.  For instance, the visual indicator is a set of five LEDs with each LED representing a fifth of the sensor's range.  So for a sensor programmed to 20 feet (6 meters), each LED would represent a 4-foot detection area.

Because of its rugged build, High Resolution PreView™ is suited for any commercial vehicle Class 1 through 6, such as step-up vans, utility vehicles and RVs.

By placing the unit in an unobscured area, you are ensured to get the best detection coverage the system has to offer.  And thanks to the sensor unit's simple design, finding a mounting location is easy.

Detection Sensitivity

PreView™ is a solid-state, pulsed radar object detection system designed to alert vehicle operators of obstacles.  The system detects both moving and stationary objects in a pre-defined coverage area and reports the distance of the closest object visually and audibly.

Simplicity

The PreView™ system is comprised of the sensor unit, the in-cab display unit and the cabling that connects the two.  The PreView™ system connects to the vehicle's reverse lights for power.

Commercial-Grade Ruggedness

The system is designed to be virtually maintenance-free.  It is resistant to environmental conditions such as moisture, dust, dirt, vibration, heat, cold and sun glare.  And it has been tested to comply with the SAE J1455 environmental specification.
